Merlene Ottey, one of the first TMG users

Merlene Ottey in Wolfsberg, July 2006
I believe my biological clock runs slower since I have always felt much younger than I actually was. But still – I'm 47 and competing at the highest professional level, which requires a lot of hard work.
Towards the end of my career I started to optimize my training in a completely new way. My training is designed very carefully. I have limited the quantity of training and now I focus on the quality of runs and exercises. My body needs more time to recover from an excessive amount of training than it did when I was 20. With this type of training I'm still able to get fantastic results.
It's not that I don't trust my inner feelings anymore, but there isn't a more accurate way of determining muscle status than one which measures every little change in your muscle locally, where all the processes of improving fast twitch fibres are taking place!
I'm lucky because I was one of the first athletes who had the opportunity to implement the new TMG methodology in my training process. The innovation in muscle diagnostics, which introduces unique ways of training optimization into the training of top athletes, monitors the changes of contractile muscle properties and alerts me when the parameters show fatigue even before I can feel it. By using TMG on a regular basis, it enables my body to stay balanced and my muscles »fresh« – ready for explosion.
I believe in smart training! My motto is not »Train More!« but »Train optimally, according to your individual needs!«
