An example of the basic TMG service
In the course of the training process, an athlete engages in a series of 60m sprint exercises, among other activities. The TMG trainer will optimize this process in the following way.
The TMG measurement of indicator muscle between 60m sprint intervals:Firstly, we choose the muscle that is most affected by the exercise (the so called indicator muscle). When the aim is to improve the running speed, we usually measure the biceps femoris muscle.
For a reliable comparison, we first measure the muscle status at the beginning of the training. This basic measurement serves as the reference point. After each interval, we measure the indicator muscle immediately after running. As the TMG measurements are harmless and simple to take, they can easily be integrated into the training routine. During the rest period, the measurements are taken every 15 seconds, so that we can monitor the muscle recovery (the main parameter we observe is the contraction time). By observing the rate of the reactivation of the fast muscle fibres, we can precisely determine the optimum duration of rest period between individual runs.
The Benefits
-reducing the number of injuries
-a quicker recovery from injuries
-increased strength, stamina and agility
-improved muscle symmetry and synchronization
Overall better performance!
